As St. Cloud State University enters its 10th season of NCAA Div. 1 women's hockey, second-year head coach Jeff Giesen will be looking to build upon the Huskies success in the last decade. "We are extremely excited about the season here at St. Cloud State," said Giesen. "We made some strides last year and have a strong group of returning players. Also, our sophomores gained valuable experience last season during their rookie stints."

Jeff "Goose" Giesen marks his second season in 2007-08 as the head women's hockey coach at St. Cloud State University. A native of Blaine, Minn., Giesen is the third head coach since the inception of the women's program in 1998. During his first year at the helm of the SCSU women's hockey program, Giesen led the Huskies to a 12-18-7 overall record and a seventh place finish in the WCHA with a mark of 7-16-5.
